The Charger Restriction option allows you to disable restrictive hours on the charger. If you are conducting charger installations during peak hours (8-11 am and 4-10 pm), you can disable these peak hours to efficiently perform the charger test. Please note that after the installation, the charger will not be smart regulation compliant unless you re-enable the restricted hours. Make sure to inform the charger owner of this change.
To make the charger regulations compliant again, configure it again using Installer Miles and ensure that the Charger regulations are enabled during commissioning. Alternatively, the owner can choose to enable Restricted charger hours when connecting the charger to the Electric Miles app.
How does Random Delay affects charger testing?
Random Delay is a feature that introduces a random delay of up to 10 minutes during the test charge. While we understand this may not be ideal for installers, we are actively working to let installers override this during commissioning.
